New York Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez underwent surgery this week to repair a cys in his hip. He is expected to be sidelined for 6-9 weeks and could miss as little as just a month and a half of the regular season. The Yankees have discussed other things but will stick to their current roster to fill the void at third base.
The surgery is just a minor procedure to put off the major surgery until the offseason, if it holds up. Do you think A-Rod will be able to with stand the pain and finish the season? Will the Yankees struggle without him or thrive without the distraction? We want to know!
Alex is the hot news with the steroid admission and this just adds fuel to the fire. Can you put a final spin on the offseason that was for Mr. Rodriguez?

I am very glad to see this happen to A-Roid. Karma is a pregnant dog and it's caught up with him. I hope this surgery doesn't hold and shortly after he comes back in May, he injures himself again and is out for the year.
It's Rays vs. Sox again this year and the Yanks just paid alot of money for a third place finish, plain and simple.
